HEADDRESS Show at Five & Diamond

What a show! Last night i had the honor of participating in an exhibition of custom headdresses made by a group of ultra-talented designers at the Five & Diamond boutique shop in San Francisco.

The entire collection was stunning, with live models and elaborate displays. Plus an amazing group of fabulous people! So much fun.

Technological Crash Helmet

Tonight is the opening of the HEADDRESS show at Five & Diamond in San Francisco, where i will be exhibiting my latest piece, the Technological Crash Helmet:

Made by Jen Zariat of Tempomachi - A relic from the present tense... A silent song in honor of time past, passing, and yet to come… The 'Technological Crash Helmet' is made from an original vinyl LP of 'Abbey Road' by the Beatles, remixed into the iconic punk-rock mohawk arch, anchored to a black leather cap by hidden brass hinges and a series of electrical components and multi-lingual keyboard keys. Shattered CDs form a pair of mercurial wings, arching delicately from each ear, draped with antique chains and secured by hidden clock gears. On the front, a brass ring encircles a winged mechanical skull, encapsulating a mini-meta version of the helmet itself... a flying leap across the technological chronochasm.

Come join us at the show! If you can't make it, the piece will be on display for the next month, as well as on the Five & Diamond website.
